Elementary School Skit

On January 26, Members of our FRC team visited local Elementary schools Sedgewick and Eisenhower, to perform a robotics skit. They showed their skit to over 400 students. The students ranging from Kindergarten to 4th grade watched as FRC members presented a skit involving a custom robot made for the skit. The skit was minion themed and involved the kids needing to steal the Gem of Sovereignty. The kids had to build a robot to help steal the gem from the cave it was hidden in.

Students were able to learn how to build a robot, and see the process of it in a fun and engaging way. They learned about the materials used and how all these random things come together to create a functioning robot. Volunteers from the schools, were given Cupertino Robotics pins and patches.

One volunteer from our FRC team, Nandika, told how, "I was really inspired by all of the hours and hard work that our members put into the skit and was glad to see the excitement that it brought students". Another voluenteer, Dohyun, shared how “It was great to see how all the kids enjoyed our show”. Cupertino Robotics hopes this is a lasting experience and for it to inspire them to also participate in robotics.
